APT Night Shift automates routine, time-consuming chores so that operator intervention is not required. Following a schedule you define, APT Night Shift increases your productivity by using system resources during off-hours or in the background partition of a workstation.

This allows you to concentrate on critical business during business hours. The power and flexibility of APT Night Shift is limited only by your own creativity!

Easy Script Creation

An easy-to-use keystroke recorder aids you in the creation of scripts for APT Night Shift. Recording can be halted at any time to insert script logic and/or script auditing/logging information. Script editing may be performed using the integrated script editor or any other standard editor or word processor. Scripts may also be assembled through simple "cut and paste" operations from other scripts.

Powerful Commands

A series of sophisticated commands may be built into your script to enhance productivity. These commands include "if-then-else" logic, file availability checking, delays, passwords, sub-scripts, and many others. These commands greatly expand the type and complexity of jobs that you can automate using APT Night Shift.

Multiple Task Scheduling

Using scripts, tasks can be chained together to run on multiple workstations within a cluster or across your entire network on remote cluster workstations. You can schedule these scripts to run simultaneously in the background partitions of workstations during normal foreground use.

Automatic Rescheduling

You may automatically reschedule the running of tasks (daily, weekly, or monthly, for example) and define the number of times each script is to be repeated (10, 52, 365 times, and so forth) using APT Night Shift.

Complete Script Auditing and Logging

APT Night Shift automatically logs and reports task runs. At a glance, you can see which scripts were run and when, which scripts were successfully completed and which were not, and the reasons for an unsuccessful task run. In addition, you can record and replay the video screens of an executed task run, a function that provides you with a complete diagnostic review.
