The APT GuardDog security system protects CTOS workstation user files and system files from unauthorized access.

It is invoked automatically after a user-defined period of keyboard inactivity, or with a single keystroke. APT GuardDog allows you to remain logged on to sensitive applications when you step away from your desk, without fear of security violations.

It also saves time and effort when you return, because tedious log in and log out procedures are no longer necessary. APT GuardDog automatically enforces your corporate security standards and resolves MIS auditor complaints.

Automated and Manual Workstation Security

APT GuardDog functions in both an automatic and manual mode. When functioning automatically, APT GuardDog displays the APT GuardDog security screen after a predefined period of keyboard inactivity. It can also log out all users, unconditionally, at a specified time. APT GuardDog is activated manually by pressing <Action-G >. The system then displays the APT GuardDog security screen.

User Configurable Options

User-configurable options allow you to customize APT GuardDog to your work environment. You may configure the keyboard time-out value, establish an unconditional log out time, or designate whether you want the APT GuardDog screen or the CTOS sign on screen displayed. You can also choose to activate APT GuardDog for selected users or for all users.

Easy to Use

Full compatibility with Context Manager, and features such as single-key execution mode, automatic execution mode, and un-conditional log out make APT GuardDog easy to use even for the most inexperienced user. After reentering the proper usercode and password, APT GuardDog returns you to the exact spot in the application you left before initiation.
