Year 2000 Statement
Automated Programming Technologies, Inc. software products for
CTOS, DOS, Windows 95, and Windows NT have been subjected to the certification tests
described below in the "Year 2000
Software Qualification Program".
"Year 2000 Qualification" means that Automated Programming
Technologies, Inc. products have been reviewed to confirm that they store, process,
input and output data containing date information correctly regardless of whether the data
contains before, on, or after January 1, 2000. Automated Programming
Technologies, Inc. products which do not perform date manipulation, and which do
not alter any date information that flows through them, are also considered Year 2000
Qualified.
The following are the results of Year 2000 Qualification certification testing:
Automated Programming Technologies, Inc. believes that the following product versions comply with the "Year 2000
Qualification" guidelines and are fully year 2000 compliant. Please
note that Automated Programming Technologies, Inc. software products use calls to the BIOS
of the PC to determine the date and time if the PC BIOS is not year
2000 compliant then the software will not be able to retrieve the correct date and time.

Definitions
a) Year 2000 Qualification
This term means that a Automated Programming Technologies, Inc.
product has been reviewed to confirm that it stores, processes, inputs, and outputs data
containing date information correctly regardless of whether the data contains dates
before, on, or after January 1, 2000. Automated Programming Technologies,
Inc. products which do not perform date manipulation, and which do not alter any
date information that flows through them, are also considered Year 2000 Qualified.
b) Date Format Storage and Processing
All dates are stored, processed, inputted, and outputted in formats that preserve
century, decade, and year information.
c) Leap Year
The year 2000 itself must be correctly processed as a leap year. For example, the two
days following February 28, 2000 must properly be interpreted as Tuesday, February 29,
2000, and Wednesday, March 1, 2000.
d) Display
Any display of a date, whether displayed on screens or printed in reports, should use a
four-digit year (YYYY). However, if two-digit display of a date is commonly accepted and
does not cause confusion, the year field may be displayed as two digits.
Product Integration
Any firmware, hardware, or networking component in a Automated
Programming Technologies, Inc. Year 2000 Qualified software platform must process
dates in accordance with the above definition.
Year 2000 Qualification extends only to the specific product configuration tested, and
does not extend to other software, firmware, or hardware products which may be used in
conjunction with the tested configuration. For an Automated Programming
Technologies, Inc. product configuration consisting of multiple integrated
components to be considered Year 2000 Qualified, each constituent component, regardless of
vendor, must be Year 2000 Qualified in accordance with the above definition, and the
system as a whole must be tested for Year 2000 Qualification. Constituent components
include all software (including system device drivers, packages, and utilities), firmware,
hardware, and networking components, and peripherals provided with Automated
Programming Technologies, Inc. products as part of the configuration.
All vendor contracts for software components used in Automated
Programming Technologies, Inc. products MUST state that Year 2000 Qualification is
a requirement. The Year 2000 status of third party products not provided by Automated
Programming Technologies, Inc. such as Windows, DOS, or communication devices is
beyond the scope of this definition.
